Rev Dr Keith Small
Originally from a ministry background, over the last 20 years Keith has been speaking to churches, university students, community lecture events, and at various training conferences in Europe and the USA concerning Muslim-Christian relations. Keith has a PhD in Islamics and New Testament Studies for his work comparing features of ancient Qur’an and New Testament manuscripts.
Keith is a Manuscript Consultant to the Bodleian Library at Oxford University, and is also an Associate Research Fellow at the London School of Theology. Keith has given various lectures concerning Islam, the Bible and the Qur’an in the OCCA over the last 6 years.
Keith’s pioneering academic book, Textual Criticism and Qur’an Manuscripts (Lexington Books, 2011), is the first book-length application to Qur’an manuscripts of textual criticism techniques used in Biblical studies and ancient Western literature. This research provides Keith with a platform for interaction at international academic Qur’anic studies conferences and with Muslim and secular Qur’an scholars from around the world. The work also has direct applications for Christian apologetics for affirming the historic textual integrity of the New Testament.
