About

“But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ – by grace you have been saved.” – Ephesians 2:4-5

Zachary came to faith in Christ during his time in Egypt where he was completing a degree in Forced Migration & Refugee Studies at the American University in Cairo. He found online apologetics resources instrumental in answering his questions about suffering, refugee crises, and war.

After completing his course work in Egypt, Zachary studied on the one-year, in-person OCCA programme at the same time as doing theology at Wycliffe Hall, Oxford. As a new Christian, this year in Oxford was especially formative for him. He saw a diverse community of students from different professions and journeys united by their love for the Gospel. After OCCA, he felt called to re-enter conflict settings in the Middle East. Zachary joined Samaritan’s Purse and Medair as a manager and coordinator to give the gospel to victims suffering in the midst of humanitarian emergencies.

While deployed in the field, Zachary met his wonderful wife Becca. Currently, they live just outside of Oxford, having felt a clear calling to serve the UK and wider church through apologetics. Zach hopes to manage and steward OCCA well in order to produce the same quality apologetics resources that helped him come to faith.
