Overview
Faith in the Real World
April 19 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
£20.00OCCA will join House on the Rock, London, to host a special Confident Faith Day – seeking to equip the Church with academically rigorous yet emotionally intelligent answers to the hard questions asked to Christians today. Together, with House on the Rock, they will examine the evidence for Christ – is the Bible really true? Is there any evidence for Jesus? Through this, they will look at how the gospel remains relevant and important today in social issues and political outcomes.
Topics
The three main sessions of the day will look at:
1. Christ beyond cultures. Around the question of Christianity simply being another people’s culture being forced on others through e.g. colonialism; and why the gospel remains relevant regardless of cultural context.
2. Does God rule in the affairs of men? Exploring God’s role in politics (e.g. electoral outcomes) and what our faith says about it.
3. The Crossroads of the Cross. About the truth of the resurrection, the evidence for it and what it means for us today.
