After practicing Law, Max moved to acting policy adviser to the Australian parliament for seven years, and most recently as the senior social policy adviser to the Leader of the Federal Opposition. Max is currently undertaking his PhD on the ethics of human dignity.

Max was born in Sri Lanka, but moved to Australia with his parents as a refugee when he was just one year old. He graduated from the Australian National University with degrees in Law and Political Science. After practicing Law, Max moved to acting policy adviser to the Australian parliament for seven years, and most recently as the senior social policy adviser to the Leader of the Federal Opposition. Max is currently undertaking his PhD on the ethics of human dignity.
Max is passionate about the power and relevance of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in transforming hearts and minds amidst a materially prosperous but spiritually unsatisfied world. His research interests lie at the intersection of faith, the role of government, and Christian morality. His extensive work in this field has led to numerous invitations to speak worldwide, including churches, universities, and debates in Australia, Cambodia, the UK, and Belgium.
