Sara has degrees in both Philosophy and Religion from Queens, Belfast, and the University of Edinburgh. She is particularly concerned about making philosophical and ethical concepts accessible to all kinds of audiences.

Sara joined the OCCA in 2022 after serving as the Head of Department in Philosophy, Religion and Ethics at Wallace High School, Northern Ireland. As a full-time speaker, Sara engages questions concerning the Philosophy of Religion and seeks to make philosophical ideas accessible to all kinds of audiences.

As a full-time speaker at the OCCA, Sara engages with life’s ‘big questions’ that are raised by Philosophy and Religion. She studied Religion in her undergraduate at Queens University, Belfast, and obtained an MSc Degree in Philosophy of Science and Religion from the University of Edinburgh.

Before her time at OCCA, Sara worked as the Head of Department in Philosophy, Religion, and Ethics at Wallace High School, Northern Ireland. Sara’s experiences there fostered a concern to make her research and study accessible to all different kinds of learners and people impacted by suffering, persecution, war, and conflict.

Sara Stevenson joined the OCCA The Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics in 2022. As a full-time speaker, Sara is also the leader of OCCA’s One-year Hybrid Course which trains Christians in evangelism and apologetics.

Through her lectures, podcasts, and articles, Sara loves to engage with a wide variety of apologetics topics including analytical questions and pastoral issues.

Sara has degrees from Queens University, Belfast (Education degree in Religious Studies), and the University of Edinburgh (MSc in Philosophy of Science and Religion). Most recently, Sara served as the Head of Department in Philosophy, Religion, and Ethics at Wallace High School, Northern Ireland.

Beyond her teaching career, Sara enjoys travelling, reading books, and playing sports!
